Economic Growth, Inequality and Value Chains
Development cannot occur without sustained and inclusive economic growth and Gobin Global brings diverse experience in supporting private-sector solutions to job creation, inclusive economic growth, and value chain strengthening. Given our core expertise in health we are particularly well suited to advise and evaluate health system value chains. In this regard we led an evaluation of the Last Mile Health program (part of a Global Fund/USAID Ghana project) assessing the cost of the supply chain, the cost to roll-out a new electronic logistic management information system (eLMIS), and developed return on investment of tools. Gobin Global possess expertise in market development and assessments with a focus on economic growth. Gobin is particularly experienced working with small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME), including enhancing supply chain integration and value chain adaptation to serve local market needs. In Tanzania, Gobin provided program and MEL support using information and communication technology (ICT), and strengthening agriculture systems and other economic growth levers, including programs for youth at the subnational level. Gobin Global also brings strong expertise in evaluating economic growth programs in regions with a high propensity of out-migration. For example, Gobin led the performance evaluation of USAID’s Sembrando Oportunidades program in Central America that is comprised of economic stimulus and job creation interventions to provide alternatives to migration. Specifically, Gobin worked on evaluations of activities including agriculture value chain support, workforce development, vocational training and education, post-graduation job placement, and training in entrepreneurial skills.
